How to Apply

Scholarships are provided to Methow Valley residents, including:

  • graduates, or pending graduates of Liberty Bell High School, Methow Valley Independent Learning Center, and home schools, and
  • post high school learners.

Candidates are evaluated based primarily on financial need, followed by academic record, contribution to the community, and employment record.

Each candidate completes an application and is interviewed by Foundation board members.

The 2026 scholarship applications are posted below, and are due by April 15, 2026.

There are two separate scholarship applications: one for students who will graduate from high school this spring, and one for post high school learners.  The instructions for each application are also attached.  The Board of Directors will determine if a selected applicant will receive a traditional college or university scholarship, or a vocational education scholarship.

Traditional college or university scholarships are renewable for up to 4 years (or two if awarded for a community college or two year trade school) so long as the student continues to attend an accredited school full time, makes expected progress toward their degree and maintains a GPA of at least 2.0. Scholarships are paid in the second semester or quarter of each academic year except in cases of special need as determined by the board.

The duration and amount of Vocational Education Scholarships will be based on the length of the particular training program.
